Plantation Bay Resort & Spa

The resort is located in Mactan Island Cebu, around 16 kilometres from the Mactan International Airport which is around 25 minutes drive. The resort is 35 minutes drive away from Cebu City, which is the main city in the area for business, commercial, cultural and entertainment establishments.
Exterior
THe resort has a colonial-plantation village feel, unique from common "native" or "Asian" themes of most resorts in the continent. The 256 rooms and suites are separated into building each of five to twenty rooms, or small complexes such as Windward Cluster or Piazza Palermo, to avoid a high-rise, commercial effect.
Lobby
The Alcatraz Lobby building was named as such since this is where most administrative offices and indoor function areas are located. We joke the we pity those who have to stay indoors, like inmates of the infamous Alcatraz penitentiary, instead of enjoying the sunshine. Apart from offices and function rooms, the Alcatraz building features guest check-in and check-out, transportation desk, Lobby Bar, Tabaqueria tobacco shop, and a cage that is home to our resident cranky parrot. From the lobby area, guests can also see the Live Aquarium featuring the tropical fish that can be seen in the Plantation Bay house reef, as well as gazebos leading to our very own prawn farm.
General
This 5 star resort is a tropical lagoon resort set in 11.4 hectares of secluded ground with lush tropical gardens, palm trees, and waterfalls overlooking a stretch of white sand beach. The resort has an extensive choice of water sport, tennis, golf and a playground for children. The outdoor spa offers body & face treatment, hot whirlpool and saltwater spring. For business travellers, there are extensive meeting facilities. (AN Feb10)
Restaurant
The resort has 4 specialty restaurants. Kilimanjaro Kafe located in resort center surrounded by kilimanjaro freshwater pool which serves international cuisine. Fiji Restaurant located beside the beach with indoor air-conditioned dining area and al fresco dining area which serves Pacific Rim Cuisine. Savannah Grill situated near Savannah Children's pool which serves fast food and has Savannah cocktail lounge and karaoke rooms. Palermo Restaurant has Quaint Italian countyard setting which serves Italian Cusine. Fine dining without the dress code.
Rooms
Poolside Rooms are 44 square meters in size situated around a quasi-private pool in either Windward Cluster or Piazza Palermo. The marble bath rooms are large, with separate bath tub and shower with all the amenities. The rooms have all the modern facilities like room safe, in-house movie and cable TV, free broadband internet access and complimentary tea/ coffee making facilities.
